Get started with Bystree
Bystree is a word-by-word lyric creation tool for Windows. Build your lyrics, align them with audio, and review the result before exporting.
Install and begin
Section titled “Install and begin”- Install Bystree from Microsoft Store.
- Follow the quick start to create your first timed lyrics.
Your workflow
Section titled “Your workflow”| Workspace | What you do |

| Start | Open a saved project or import existing lyrics. |
| Edit | Organize lines and syllables, background vocals, translations and transliteration. |
| Timing | Listen to audio and set timestamps using your keyboard. |
| Preview | Review the timed lyrics and associated language tracks. |
| Export | Choose a format and review its diagnostics. |
You can move between workspaces as you refine a project. Use undo and redo to revisit editing decisions.
Projects and exports
Section titled “Projects and exports”Keep a TTML project as your working copy. Export a separate file for the player or service you intend to use. TTML, Lyricify Syllable (.lys), Lyricify Lines (.lyl) and LRC have different capabilities: a format may not retain every syllable, background layer or language track.
The export workspace reports compatibility and conversion issues. Review these before writing the output.
